    • i don't know about anyone else but i love sundays in Jak's at Skegness! Its anything goes. after a weekend of hearing the same songs its great to go there on a Sunday and hear some different music and dance all night. I did find the 80's weekend sunday in there like a wedding! The songs wilks was playing is the sort they play at wedding. i was waiting for jive bunny at one point just to top me over!! Then we started getting the lastest music ie black eyed peas...... then its straight into dance music blow your whistle stuff!! Wow it was like one extreme to another!

I heard in Minehead that Jak's is anything goes all weekend. Can we not have this at Skegness? We have the Skyline for a themed disco so people can go there if they want to listen to the themed weekend music ie 70's, 80's and Jak's could be any goes but no wedding disco please Stick out tongue

    • I second that Littlemisschick, Your right when I went to Minehead in Nov last year, Jaks was all any thing goes music, I think I once danced to dizzy Rascel, did not know it was him, until someone told me lol!!  and that was on the friday night and not late either, so if minehad can do it, why cant Jaks at Skeg do it, even in the irish Bar at minehead it was anything goes music, so Come on ents team lets have some of that at Skegness please x

    • Dunno bout the music but it would be nice to walk around in there without having your shoes sucked off by the filthy floors that you stick to.

Jaks has always played "alternative" music all weekend at Bognor but then again Music to me is like a box of chocolates ..... much better when you throw away the "Rappers"

    • I disagree; its an 80s weekend! The only thing I would say about the music is that there is more to 80s music than Rik Astley, Jason Donavan, Madness etc. Its the same songs everywhere you go & every year you go. Of course you need the cheesy 80s but how about Jaks playing the other songs from the 80s. such as alternative 80s music such as The cult, Blue Mondays, Clash, Teardrop Explodes. or even some 80s soul/R&B (not the cheesy stuff) Shalamar, Jocelyn Brown, Colonel Abraham (Trapped, brilliant song!). Don't get me wrong I love Black Eyed Peas but I can go into town and hear that in every pub & club.

    • Yes are on to something there, esp the shalamar, etc kind of music, I love that from the 80s, but I still do think there should be one "none 80s"  venue, after all there is enough places, the front room could play the alternavitve 80s stuff.

I do think the DJS should read on up on some 80s hits though instead of playing the normal 80s music, I think they should get special 80s DJs in ( of 70s when a 70s weekend) not saying the djs are no good but they are too young to know what really went down in the 80s x
